Abrasive and astute, the Grammy Award winning comedian, The Daily Show pundit, and Comedy Central star returns to the LBC.

Lewis Black is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today and executes a brilliant trifecta as stand-up comedian, actor and author. He is the rare comic who can cause an audience to laugh while making compelling points about the absurdity of our world. Lewis has appeared frequently on The Daily Show with a weekly “Back in Black” rant, on Comedy Central, and has also filmed two HBO specials. He won the Best Male Stand-Up at the American Comedy Awards in 2001 and his CDs have won Grammy awards. A much sought after guest for late-night television shows, he’s been seen on Larry King, Late Night with Conan O'Brien Presents: Team Coco, Late Show with David Letterman, CNN andMSNBC, among others.

In the midst of a rigorous 200-night touring schedule around the world, regular TV appearances and movie roles, Lewis has written three bestselling books. As a playwright Lewis has also penned over 40 plays, many of which have been produced around the country. He has co-starred with Robin Williams in Barry Levinson’s “Man of the Year”, Steve Pink’s “Accepted”, and Paul Feig’s “Unaccompanied Minors”. He also lent his voice to the role of “Jimmy” in Bob Sagat’s parody, “Farce of the Penguins”. In his leisure time, Lewis likes to play golf, even though golf hates him.
