The exceptional and dynamic pianist Alessio Bax takes the stage for the first time in Weill Hall to perform the exquisite second Piano Concerto of Brahms. In this program, Maestro Ferrandis contrasts the Romantic introduction to Roméo et Juliette by Berlioz with selections from Prokofiev’s iconic 20th century ballet score filled with musical portraits from Shakespeare’s classic tale of love.
