The “Santa Rosa” plum: is a juicy, tart, flavorful hybrid created by Santa Rosa legend, Luther Burbank. The Luther Burbank Home & Gardens are located in downtown Santa Rosa, across from Julliard Park. The gardens are open to the public 7 days a week, and guided tours are offered after April 1. Visit the gift shop for souvenirs and support a beloved, historic Santa Rosa establishment.
Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate has a stunning, sensory garden on the north edge of Santa Rosa. The gardens are impeccably designed to inspire the winemakers and accompany the wine tasting experience. Meander through the various culinary and seasonal gardens for their edible flowers, fragrant herbs and vegetables or pair your visit to the tasting room with the Red & White wine sensory gardens. Garden tours and tastings are offered throughout the day. This is a lovely stop if you are headed along River Road in the direction of the ocean or Dry Creek Valley for more wine tasting.
