Restored Sally Statue
The Sally Brown statue currently lives at Juncture Taproom but will be moving soon to the Sonoma County Hardship Fund office. Belonging to The Lopez Family, Sally Lopez, the executive director of the non-profit organization (SCHF) commissioned Nathan Gomez to fully restore ‘her’ and also make a few changes. It was missing an arm and had no bottom base to stand upright. Nathan and his Father, Daniel Gomez , completed the restoration in October 2023. During that time his longtime friend @jimmyhits filmed him putting on the finishing touches, paint, halo and wings.
Nathan Gomez is a local artist from Santa Rosa. Painting murals, drawing comics and doing designs he also has worked with various companies such as Stan Lee’s POW! Ent., Weirdo Fresh and Museum of Sonoma County. Currently he works with The Charles M. Schulz Museum to restore more sculptures in Sonoma County. You can see more of his work at Nategomez.com!
